Cherry walked out of his father's medieval bungalow and moved down series of stairs to get to a figtree in front of the house, he plucked a fig from the tree.He grabbed his bicycle which was lying on a wooden fence at the side of the house and then he rode the bike out into the dusty streets while making the fig his breakfast.
Cherry reached his Parents farm and came down from his bike to open the wooden gate standing on his way. He dragged his bicycle through the gate, then he closed it and mounted his bike to ride it to the farm house at the far end of the farm. Cherry got to the farm house as his mother came out of the house, she stopped and looked at him suspiciously as he moved to the door of the farm house.
'Have you eaten your breakfast?'she asked him.
'No,'he replied, hurrying to move in after he was blocked midway,' but I'm not hungry......'
'You always say that, you should start eating so you can grow up to your mates' height,'she replied, laughing and moving out of his way,'go in and put something in your stomach.
'Yes ma,' he said with a frowned face, he moved into the farm house and located his food on a table, beside the table was their farm dog, he brought down the food for the dog and sat on a chair near the table for a while and then stood to leave, he moved to the dog and watched its feeding speed so he would know when to come and take the plates. He turned to leave but was shocked to see his mother beside him.
'I thought I told you to eat it!'
'I told you I wasn't hungry, I've already eaten.'
' What did you eat?'she asked.
' Something,' He answered in a mischievous manner.
' Alright then, while you are still looking cute, could you please take those sheep out to the grazeland, they've been hoping you'd come by.'
Cherry walked out of the door and moved straight to the sheep-pen, he counted the sheep and they were nine, then he looked for the stubborn two that made them eleven, after he found them, he walked the sheep to the villages' grazing ground where he stayed until the sun came to the middle of the sky, then he walked home with the sheep before the village bullies could arrive at the grazeland.
Cherry drove the sheep into their pen as soon as he got back and then he rushed to his bike and was about to ride away when his mother came-by.
'Where to?' she asked, holding the left bell of his bicycle.
'I'm going to Rodens', he asked me to come, and now I've finished my chores, so I want to go.'
'When did you actually see him?'she asked him, gazing curiously for an answer.
'I don't know why you don't believe me, didn't I just go out with those hungry animals?'
'Alright, I believe you,' she said letting his bell ring undisturbed,'you can go, only when you give those 'hungry animals' some water, but don't stay to long!' She walked away from Cherry and moved towards some apple trees where Cherry's father was plucking the fruits.
After Cherry gave the sheep water,he bid his Parents bye in his thoughts and rode the bicycle towards where he had come to the farm from, but this time he rode past his home towards a high plateau, he got to the feet of the plateau and entered a compound there, he waited for Roden there while watching Roden and Randy's sisters play. He stood beside his bike for sometime and was about to leave when he saw three bikes moving down from the plateau, he exited the compound with his two wheel and stood right outside the compound, the first cyclist moved straight at him and he ran out of the way, the two other bikers stopped near him while the first cyclist gave his bike a hard stopping brake which gave him serious comments of admiration when he stopped successfully.
Roden, the first cyclist checked out Cherry's bike while his accomplices, Randy and Sesson rode back up slowly in wait for their friends, after Roden left Cherry, he mounted his bike and rode it up the hill faster than the others, he gave his bike a hard stopping brake that helped him stop before he got to the edge of the plateau's top that led to a crooked way down. Cherry had stopped his bike in time but not as successfully as Roden, so he got loud laughs from Sesson and Roden while Randy pulled him up and patted him on the shoulder. They rode their bikes to their favorite riding position which was beside a cabin they had never entered. Roden performed many trick with his bike which Randy tried to emulate but didn't succeed, he often got laughed at by Roden continuously, this made Randy a little mad so he rode away from the boys to stop himself from beating any criticizer. Sesson and Cherry begged Roden to teach them the basic steps of his tricks, but he bluntly refused and told them to follow his every move, but then he laughed at them non-stop when they fell. The two boys got tired of this and then lay on the ground looking at different drawings of the cloud while Roden made noise with his boasts which they often ignored or looked at him to see him perform the trick again.
