Air Soldier

Air Soldier Season 1 Episode 1

The morning sun was already shining on the metal scraps covering a medium sized wooden house if compared with a bungalow, the house was in a clear area of land surrounded by tall intimidating tree which had a little green on its leaves but its thick forest made it look much more darker. Two homo-sapiens stepped out from the tree house and set out to rid the forest of its living human beings.

‘Let’s look over there,’ a female excavator shouted to her fellow, the PLS(Programmed Life Scanner) in her hands seemed to be disobeying her orders to search within a specific location, but the tracker went out of its set range and gave her results of no lives found after scanning a much further place from where she was standing, at least it still searched the location of her fellow but still gave its negative answer, wasn’t he a living being or one of the new trending robots in the city which was very much far from where their camp or the two were. She gazed at the place she had set for the PLS to scan and guessed the scanner refused to scan it because of the dark color of the area, it looked pitch black, but apart from that, maybe the mechanical systems of the fallen plane was affecting the scanning setting, she continued her fixed gaze at the place where smoke was rising from in the debris of the shattered plane, she remembered the fateful past day when her camp neighbor had shot down the plane thinking it was an enemy plane, although she didn’t know if he shot it down because he loved to do that, she still believe it was merely a result of enemy plane attack on them after their plane crashed in the forests of The Republic Of Congo. She got revived back to life by the nudge she received from her male colleague who had reached her after walking above fallen trees to reach his destination.
‘No one is here we check it in the morning,’ the male excavator replied while turning to go but was pulled back by his fellow.
‘It was too early then, maybe our eyes didn’t have a good vision of the area,’ she said looking at a pile of wood almost well arranged, she had been reminded by her mind of how the rushed back to the camp after they encountered a movement near the place she was standing, ’carry that log up, this forest might be full of bodies still breathing!
‘Which one?’ he asked frowning; he looked at her and followed her eyes which were fixed on a log of wood for him to carry the wood up.
‘Why do I have to do everything and you still ask me to follow you?’
‘Why won’t I, you are the only masculine looking male here,’ she replied hitting his elbow with her wrist as he bent down to carry the log up for her to check if there was any living human there.
‘Thanks for the compliment, but it sure still doesn’t make me change my mind,’ he groaned amid taking the log to another side of the area away from the body underneath it.
‘I thought I told you to carry it up?’
‘What if I mistakenly drop it on the body?’
‘You are such a genius, stupid,’ she answered him trying to make her last word inaudible to him.
‘I heard it,’ he said bending to get a better view of the body; he jumped up to his feet immediately the body shook slightly and she slapped him on the back and laughed mischievously.
‘Big baby, bring out the bed!’
‘I know what to do,’ he said bringing out a small bag from his pocket, they both blew air into the rubber bed from its various ends and only closed the holes after the air had made the bed solid enough to carry their patient. They both carried their patient unto the bed and then made way to their camp while carrying the wounded soldier.
